Coach Steve Gundy

As a life coach and behavior consultant, Steve Gundy helps parents guide their special needs young adults to be self-supportive and free from the daily struggle.

Steve specializes in working with individuals living with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD. Steve owns Steve Gundy Coaching Practice, LLC in North Central Indiana.

He directs a team of behavior consultants who provide behavior services to developmentally disabled individuals under the Indiana Bureau of Developmental Disabilities and Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation and private coaching. Steve is passionate about seeing young adults grow their confidence as they launch their adult life.

Highlights Of Steve’s Journey

  • Born and raised in Southern Mid Michigan and now living in North Central Indiana.
  • A husband, proud father of an adult stepson, daughter, and special needs son living with Autism.
  • Diagnosed ADHD inattentive type as an adult. As a student, I was undiagnosed, worked much harder, experienced emotions more deeply, and struggled more intensely than most to make life productive.
  • Passionate about identifying and helping individuals use their strengths to advance productive and meaningful lives. A perceived weakness is really a strength looking for the right context.
  • Developed and implemented 100+ behavior plans to help individuals living with Autism thrive
  • Over 500 hours of private coaching with young adults living with ADHD
  • 1994-1998 Residential work with at-risk youth
  • 1998-2002 Acute Unit work pre-teens at psychiatric hospitals
  • 2002-2008 Family Consultant Supervisor for therapeutic foster care
  • 2008-2016 Behavior Consultant working with developmentally disabled
  • 2016 to present Bureau of Developmental Disabilities Provider for behavior services in Indiana, leading a team of behavior consultants serving individuals with developmental disabilities.

  • I love exhilarating experiences! For instance, I drove a NASCAR cup car at 175 mph around Michigan International Speedway to celebrate my 50th birthday.
  • I have traveled to and volunteered in Ethiopia and Liberia, West Africa.
  • I climbed a 15,000+ foot volcano in Ecuador.

  • My education includes Taylor University, a BA in Psychology, Andrews University, a Masters in Social Work (MSW), and ADD Coach Academy Associate Certified Coach (AACC).
